About Master Mom Stress
Hey, mama! I’m Lauren, the stay-at-home mom of 4 behind Master Mom Stress.
After dealing with some of my own self-sabotaging thoughts, I turned to blogging as a way to remind mothers to love themselves again.
Master Mom Stress is meant to bring you information, hope, and motivation with the goal that it will inspire you to make positive changes that will transform your life*.

The short version
Here, I share what I’ve learned.
But I’m not an expert by any means nor do I claim to have my life totally together. Ha!
I have four kids, so, the idea that my life could be perfect is flippin’ hysterical!
Here, I share which lifestyle choices I’ve made (and continue to make) that have helped – if I’m being frank – me stay sane.
And the whole point of sharing what I’ve done is to inspire you to take action in your own life and make things better for yourself.

The long version
As a thirty-something stay-at-home mom of four, my blog will probably resonate most with other stay-at-home moms.
I see you.
Master Mom Stress is for moms who feel frazzled.
I mean, how could you not.
- You manage the household finances and make sure everything gets paid on time.
- You do the grocery shopping, arrange the family’s doctor appointments, and get the kids ready for school.
- Maybe you’re breastfeeding and forever with baby attached to your boobs.
- Or maybe you’re surviving on several cups of coffee per day just to keep up with the energy of your terrible-two toddler.
- And let’s not forget about your favorite: laundry.
Amidst the frazzle, you probably find yourself sitting there thinking, “How in the hell did I get here? This isn’t what I thought my life would be like.”
Perhaps staying home is beginning to make you feel like you’re never going to have a life where you get to be you you instead of mom you.
Don’t get me wrong. There’s no doubt that you love your kids. To the ends of the earth, in fact. You really can’t imagine life without them.
You enjoy being called mommy.
But you’re craving balance.
When do you get to stop being mommy and just be you?
Guess what?
You sound like someone like me.
I’ve spent the better part of the last thirteen years staying home with my four babies.
Some of the years were spent finishing college.
Some of the years were spent working in positions that only paid for daycare.
But most of the time, I’ve just been home – trying not to go crazy.
It’s hard, this stay-at-home mom life.
The years that have been the hardest have been the ones where I was doing things solo.
So I especially know what it feels like to feel alone, to feel like you’re not getting any breaks, to feel like you just want someone to save you from the chaos.
I know that tight feeling in your chest when stress brings on an anxiety attack.
And I know all too well about the black streaks of mascara rolling down your cheeks and the frustration you feel when your kid just won’t go to sleep (because you desperately need a break (and a shower (and wine))).
People who never stay home with their kids really have no idea how crazy it can feel.
But you’re not crazy.
You’re not alone.
I’m right there with you, mama.
I started Master Mom Stress as a place to share with you tidbits of wisdom, things I’ve learned that have helped me manage the stress of stay-at-home mom life.
If you are looking for answers to help you turn things around, you’ll like it here.
But I don’t have all the answers. As I said earlier, my life isn’t totally together.
I’m just hoping this blog can uplift and motivate you by recommending things that have worked for me – things that have helped me change my mindset and expectations of myself.
I just want to help point you in the right direction so that you can begin the journey of transforming into a more relaxed mom.
Your kids will benefit, but more importantly, you will benefit.
